Installing ZXP Extensions

Railcut and Code Runner install as Adobe CEP/ZXP extensions. A .zxp file is an extension package, and it cannot be installed by double-clicking it.

Install a ZXP extension

1. Download the product’s .zxp file.
2. Download and install the free AEScripts ZXP Installer.
3. Open the AEScripts ZXP Installer, then drag your .zxp file onto its window. You can also use the installer’s file picker.
4. Wait for the installer to confirm success, then restart After Effects.
5. Open the panel from Window > Extensions in After Effects.

If the panel does not appear after restarting After Effects, reinstall the .zxp and make sure the installer completed successfully. For more help, contact support.
