Troubleshooting

  • Confirm Proof was installed correctly.
  • Restart After Effects.
  • Confirm your After Effects version is supported.
  • Make sure the active comp contains text layers.
  • Try a different scan scope.
  • If scanning selected layers, confirm text layers are selected.
  • Confirm the layer is not locked.
  • Rescan if text changed after the original scan.
  • Confirm the layer still exists and has not been renamed or moved in a way Proof cannot resolve.
  • Confirm a dictionary is installed and enabled.
  • If importing manually, confirm you selected matching .aff and .dic files.
