What protects your project
Ground Control runs real scripts in your real After Effects. These four things stand between a script and your work.
A backup before every change
Section titled “A backup before every change”Before any run that changes your project, Ground Control saves a copy of the project file. If your project has never been saved there is no file to copy, so save first if you want that net under an in-progress run.
One undo step per run
Section titled “One undo step per run”Every run is wrapped in a single undo step. Ctrl+Z on Windows or Cmd+Z on macOS reverts the whole run.
Approved folders only
Section titled “Approved folders only”Scripts run only from the folders setup created and approved. A script anywhere else is refused, and the panel says so.
Quarantine, not execution
Section titled “Quarantine, not execution”Every script is checked before it runs. One that fails the check is set aside for you to look at, never run anyway.
While the panel is paused
Section titled “While the panel is paused”The panel’s Pause stops it taking commands without closing anything. Your AI sees that the panel is paused and waits.
