Quick Start
Scan your presets
Section titled “Scan your presets”- Open Window > Extensions > Preset Browser.
- Click Scan in the footer.
Preset Browser reads Adobe’s presets from the After Effects you have open, plus your User Presets folder. It remembers the result, so later sessions open straight onto your presets. Scan again whenever you add or remove preset files.
Find a preset
Section titled “Find a preset”- The sidebar lists All presets, Favorites, Recent, your collections, and two folder trees: After Effects presets and User presets. The folders start collapsed; click the arrow beside one to open it.
- Type in the search field at the top to filter the gallery.
- Hover a card to play its preview. Click it to select it and see a larger preview in the info pane on the right.
Apply it
Section titled “Apply it”- In an open comp, select the layers you want to animate.
- Click Apply in the info pane, or double-click the card.
With nothing selected, Preset Browser creates a layer for the preset first: a text layer, a shape layer, or a solid, depending on the preset. See Applying Presets to change that choice.
Applying is one undo step, including any layer it created.
