Favorites and Collections
Favorites
Section titled “Favorites”Click the star on a card, or Favorite in the info pane. Click again to remove it. Favorites in the sidebar shows them all.
Recent
Section titled “Recent”Recent in the sidebar shows the last 24 presets you applied.
Collections
Section titled “Collections”A collection is your own named group of presets. A preset can be in any number of collections.
Create a collection: click New collection in the sidebar, name it, and click Create.
Add a preset:
- open the card’s three-dot menu and click a collection under Add to collection, or
- click a collection’s chip under Collections in the info pane.
A check mark shows the collections a preset is in. Click it again to take the preset out. New collection in either place creates a collection with that preset already in it.
Rename or delete: open the collection’s three-dot menu in the sidebar and choose Rename or Delete. Deleting a collection removes only the group; the presets stay where they are.
Where they are kept
Section titled “Where they are kept”Favorites, Recent, and collections are shared by every version of After Effects on the machine, and survive updates to Preset Browser and to After Effects. See the FAQ for the folder.
