Type Jazz
Type Jazz is a dockable After Effects panel for building expressive text animation without digging through text animators and range selectors.
Select one or more text layers, apply Type Jazz, then shape the animation from the Type Jazz effect in Effect Controls. The panel gives you quick controls for animation type, direction, character grouping, per-character 3D, variable font axes, and copying animations between layers.
Installation Install the panel and the 80-preset library.

What Type Jazz does

- Supports Oscillate, Bounce, and Linear motion
- Animates by characters, words, or lines
- Moves from the left, right, center out, or center in
- Controls position, scale, rotation, opacity, skew, tracking, blur, and more
- Supports per-character 3D transforms

Type Jazz is values-driven: set the transform and animation values you want, and the built-in rig performs the motion between them.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Type Jazz 1.1.0 works with After Effects 2021 and newer on Windows and macOS. It requires the JavaScript expressions engine. Variable font axis animation requires After Effects 26.0 or newer.
