Requirements
Supported versions
Section titled “Supported versions”Type Jazz 1.1.0 supports After Effects 2021 and newer on Windows and macOS.
Expressions engine
Section titled “Expressions engine”Your project must use the JavaScript expressions engine. Open File > Project Settings > Expressions and choose JavaScript.
The Legacy ExtendScript expressions engine is not supported.
Variable font axes
Section titled “Variable font axes”Animating variable font axes requires:
- After Effects 26.0 or newer
- A text layer using a variable font
- At least one animation axis exposed by that font, such as Weight, Width, or Slant
All other Type Jazz features continue to work in supported older versions of After Effects.
