KBar

Type Jazz includes a .kbar file that recreates its panel controls as a KBar toolbar. KBar is sold separately by aescripts + aeplugins.

Import the toolbar

1. Open KBar in After Effects.
2. Open KBar Settings.
3. Import the Type Jazz .kbar file included with your download.
4. Save the toolbar and return to KBar.

The toolbar holds nine buttons matching the panel’s own grid. Each one carries its sub-actions on modifier keys, so the whole tool fits on one row:

Per-character 3D, Variable font axes, and Open panel have no modifiers. The variable font button opens its interactive axis list from KBar just as it does from the panel.

Note

The toolbar carries its own copy of Type Jazz inside the .kbar file, so its buttons work whether or not the panel is installed. That also means the copy is version-locked: import the .kbar from each new Type Jazz download so the toolbar and the panel stay the same version.
