Is Code Runner really free?
Section titled “Is Code Runner really free?”Yes — free for any work, commercial included. You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage it, and the one place to get it is jakeinmotion.com/code-runner.
What does it run in?
Section titled “What does it run in?”After Effects 2021 and newer, on Windows and macOS. It is After Effects only — no Premiere version.
Why are there four Code Runners in the Window menu?
Section titled “Why are there four Code Runners in the Window menu?”So you can dock more than one. Code Runner, Code Runner 2, Code Runner 3 and Code Runner 4 are copies of the same panel sharing one library: a button you add in one appears in all of them. Each copy remembers its own collection, view and folders, so a different collection can sit in a different part of your workspace. Open only the ones you want. See Multiple Panels.
Will updating erase my buttons?
Section titled “Will updating erase my buttons?”No. Your library lives outside the extension, so installing a new version changes nothing about your buttons, collections, or settings.
Where is my library stored?

How do I move my buttons to another machine?
Section titled “How do I move my buttons to another machine?”Back up everything on one machine and restore it on the other. To hand someone a single collection, export it instead.
Does it sync between machines?
Section titled “Does it sync between machines?”Not automatically — use backup and restore, or share a collection file.
