Sharing Collections
Export
Section titled “Export”Export in the footer writes one .coderunner file you can send to anyone: the collection plus any preset files its buttons use. Name it and tick what to include.
Import
Section titled “Import”Import takes that file back. It asks where the buttons should go:
- a new collection, named after the file,
- the collection you are viewing,
- or a different existing collection.
For an existing collection it then asks whether to add to it or replace its contents. Adding never overwrites anything you have; replacing takes the old buttons out of that collection only, and they stay in your library and in every other collection that shows them. The panel switches to the destination when the import lands.
Collections exported from Code Runner 1 import the same way.
If an import includes presets, Code Runner asks before installing them. Nothing is written until every question is answered, so backing out leaves no half-installed collection behind.
A button’s alternates travel with it, including any button an alternate points at. If one cannot be included, the import says so.
Use the Import button rather than dropping the file on the panel — dropping a file onto a button is how you set a custom icon.
